FAQ
-
How old were you went you started to paint?
I was about 6 years old and finished a paint by number kit in about 45 minutes. Eventually, I made my own lines and mixed colors outside those boundaries.

Do you have a favorite piece of work you made as a young adult?
Yes, I started with a piece of wood and uncooked rice. I dipped each cup of rice in a different color, and dried them off. I drew a women’s face on the wood. After about 4 months of placing one grain of rice at a time I completed the task.
There were definitely more meditative moments than I wanted to spend, but it was worth it. I gave the piece to my sister and she still has it today!

Did you always enjoy photography?
When I first used a camera it wasn’t fun, Plus, we had to wait for the pictures to be developed. Why I continued is because I found those magic moments, as a family, we just needed to capture and laugh afterwords. We still laugh today. That was about 50 years ago.
